Open Question: Debt consolidation will leave you with a huge debt ratio, and close all your credit cards?
We have to file banrupsty due to being screwed by a debt consolidation company. But can a judgement take your Fedral along with your State tax refund. Or is it just your State tax refund? I live in M.I. if that makes any difference? Please Help!!!
All I recieved was a peice of paper in the mail saying they had a judgement it doesn't say for which one but last year they only took State. I am just worried because we have to file our taxes to get the money for bankruptsy.

I have approximately 6 to 7 thousand dollars in credit card debt. Which may not be much to some people but with my income it's a lot. I need some help! I would like to do some kind of debt consolidation but don't have anything to put up for collateral, since i don't own anything of value. Anyone know what to do?

When you consolidate debt, it shows all old debts as being paid, etc, but the one new debt ratio, which is the amount being owed to the consolidation company will be huge. QUESTION: Does It lower the credit score to have a huge debt ratio like this?
OTHER QUESTION: and you also want to have say, 3 credit cards, (3 of them is the number you want to have a good credit profile, right), then the debt consolidation companies close your credit cards or do they not? How does it work
